Theo số liệu thống kê của Cục Hải quan Việt Nam, 4 tháng đầu năm 2025, kim ngạch thương mại giữa Việt Nam và Cộng hoà Liên bang Đức tăng 23,3% và đạt gần 4,5 tỷ USD. Trong đó xuất khẩu đạt 3,3 tỷ USD, tăng 27,8%, nhập khẩu đạt 1,2 tỷ USD, tăng 12,4%. Việt Nam xuất siêu sang Đức 2,1 tỷ USD, tăng 38,9% so với cùng kỳ năm 2024.

Về xuất khẩu, tất cả các nhóm hàng xuất khẩu sang Đức đều ghi nhận tăng trưởng dương. Trong đó nhóm hàng vật liệu xây dựng tăng 86,8%, nhóm nông thủy sản tăng 74% và nhóm chế biến tạo tăng 16,23%.
Về nhập khẩu, các mặt hàng nhập khẩu chính trừ hoá chất đều tăng trưởng tốt. Cụ thể: Máy móc, thiết bị, dụng cụ, phụ tùng khác (đạt 436,4 triệu USD, tăng 14%); dược phẩm (đạt 145,5 triệu USD, tăng 39,8%); hóa chất (đạt 110,6 triệu USD, giảm 6,9%); sản phẩm hóa chất (đạt 82,6 triệu USD, tăng 9,4%); máy vi tính, sản phẩm điện tử và linh kiện (đạt 56,3 triệu USD, tăng 16,9%); sản phẩm từ chất dẻo (đạt 30,8 triệu USD, tăng 18,7%); linh kiện, phụ tùng ô tô (đạt 24,2 triệu USD, tăng 59,3%);
Với các thống kê như trên, Đức đã trở lại vị trí là đối tác thương mại lớn nhất của Việt Nam tại châu Âu sau khi bị tụt xuống vị trí thứ 2 vào năm 2024.
Bộ Công thương dẫn nguồn thông tin từ Thương vụ Việt Nam tại Đức cho biết, tăng trưởng kim ngạch thương mại của Việt Nam với Đức diễn ra trong bối cảnh kinh tế Đức đã ghi nhận những dấu hiệu tích cực. Theo số liệu của Văn phòng Thống kê liên bang Đức, GDP nước này tăng trưởng dương trong quý 1 năm 2025 (tăng 0,5% so với cùng kỳ 03 tháng trước) sau 2 năm liên tiếp suy thoái. Cùng với đó, kim ngạch thương mại của Đức cũng tăng trưởng gần 3% khi xuất khẩu 3 tháng đầu năm 2025 đạt 394,3 tỷ Euro, tăng 0,9% và nhập khẩu đạt 339,7 tỷ Euro tăng 5,1%.

Các Bộ trưởng Kinh tế ASEAN đánh giá cao những nỗ lực của Ủy ban Đàm phán và các nhóm kỹ thuật trong quá trình đàm phán nâng cấp Hiệp định Thương mại Hàng hóa ASEAN thời gian vừa qua, đồng thời ghi nhận sau 14 phiên đàm phán chính thức, hiện nay các nước ASEAN đã hoàn thành được gần 98% tiến độ.
