Cùng với đó, Khu dân cư Long Thành Riverside (ID Junction) cũng là một trong những dự án lớn có tên trong danh sách thanh tra đợt này. Dự án có quy mô 40,1ha, được triển khai bởi Công ty Cổ phần Long Thành Riverside, từng bị Thanh tra Bộ Tài nguyên và Môi trường kết luận được giao đất không qua đấu giá.
Năm 2012, dự án khu dân cư theo quy hoạch tại thị trấn Long Thành được UBND tỉnh Đồng Nai có văn bản thỏa thuận địa điểm thực hiện đầu tư. Năm 2018, tỉnh Đồng Nai chấp nhận chủ trương đầu tư dự án với thời gian thực hiện dự án chia làm ba giai đoạn, từ năm 2018 đến hết năm 2025. Năm 2019, dự án được phê duyệt nhiệm vụ quy hoạch chi tiết 1/500.
Dự án được khởi công năm 2021, có quy mô rộng gần 40,1ha, gồm 650 nhà thấp tầng và 2.000 căn hộ cao tầng. Dự án sở hữu vị trí đắc địa khi nằm giữa trung tâm huyện Long Thành, gần cao tốc TP.HCM - Long Thành - Dầu Giây với nút giao Quốc lộ 51.

Ngoài ra, các dự án như Khu dân cư Phước Thắng (Amira Chơn Thành), Khu đô thị dịch vụ Amata Long Thành 1, Nhà máy điện năng lượng mặt trời Lộc Ninh 3 và Nhà máy thủy điện Đức Thành cũng nằm trong diện Thanh tra Chính phủ thanh tra trực tiếp. Những dự án này, với tổng vốn đầu tư hàng nghìn tỷ đồng, đều gặp phải các vấn đề như chậm tiến độ, vướng mắc pháp lý.
Theo Thanh tra Chính phủ, mục tiêu của đợt thanh tra này là xác định rõ nguyên nhân gây ra các vấn đề tại các dự án, từ đó phát hiện những bất cập trong chính sách, kiến nghị sửa đổi để hoàn thiện khung pháp lý, đồng thời xử lý nghiêm các vi phạm pháp luật (nếu có).
Việc thanh tra không chỉ nhằm đảm bảo tính minh bạch trong quản lý đầu tư mà còn hướng đến việc tối ưu hóa nguồn lực và thúc đẩy hiệu quả kinh tế - xã hội. Thời kỳ thanh tra các dự án sẽ kéo dài từ khi bắt đầu triển khai đến ngày 1/7/2025. Trong trường hợp cần thiết, phạm vi thanh tra có thể được mở rộng để làm rõ hơn các vấn đề liên quan.

Chiều 1/8, Thanh tra TP.HCM đã tổ chức hội nghị công bố 12 quyết định thanh tra đối với 94 công trình, dự án có khó khăn, vướng mắc tại TP.HCM. Thời hạn thanh tra là 30 ngày.
